INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Gluten Free Oat Flour

  • 1/4 cup Gluten Free Oatmeal

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Water From Sardine Can

  • 2 tbsp Parsley

  • 1 cup Salt Free Broth (Can be replaced with Water)

  • 200g can Sardines in Water

    200g can Sardines in Water

  • 1/4 cup Wild Rice

    1/4 cup Wild Rice

Step 1
  • Preheat the oven to 350 C, line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2
  • 1 cup Salt Free Broth (Can be replaced with Water)

  • 1/4 cup Wild Rice

  • In medium pot, bring water or broth to boil over high heat. Add wild rice. Cook for 30 minutes.

  • Once cooked, strain the rice to remove all liquid and set aside.

  • 2 tbsp Parsley

  • Wash and roughly chop parsley.

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Water From Sardine Can

  • 200g can Sardines in Water

    200g can Sardines in Water

  • 1/4 cup Wild Rice

    1/4 cup Wild Rice

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine wild rice, sardines, parsley, and olive oil/Sardine water. Mix with hands until thoroughly combined. Should be mushy texture.

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 cup Gluten Free Oat Flour

    1 cup Gluten Free Oat Flour

  • 1/4 cup Gluten Free Oatmeal

    1/4 cup Gluten Free Oatmeal

  • Add egg, oat flour and oatmeal to sardine mixture and mix thoroughly.

Step 7
  • Take 1 tbsp of dough and roll into a ball with your hands. Place ball onto sheet pan. Press ball down with the back of a spoon until cookie is ½ inch in thickness. Repeat until sheet pan is full. 

Step 8
  • Put the sheet pan into the oven and bake for 25 min. Then remove sheet pan, turn cookies over and continue to bake for 15 minutes or until cookies brown on the bottom. 

Step 9
  • Remove from oven and let the cookies cool. 

Step 10
  • Once cool, cookies are ready for your doggie to enjoy!
